The Sub 2000 is their 'new' lower cost rifle. It's only gonna be in 9mm for now.....but the 40 will be out. I don't think the 357 Sig will ever come out. I've heard that on other boards that there's a problem of using a bottle neck round.......okay, that's what I heard.
I have a Sub-40 (the previouse model), has an aluminum reciever instead of the plastic. Mine is in Glock 40 and well....... I have a 'few' of the Scherer 29rnd mags.
Also a few 15 rounders.
Any how, I love my Sub 40 and I'm figuring that the Sub 2000 will be just as good. The Hi Point....... I've seen them, handled them, but haven't shot them. They're inexpensive, what about 200 while the original Sub series was 400+. The Sub2000 is suppose to be below 350, if I heard right. The Hi Point doesn't have capacity, while the Sub series does. Also, if you have a double stack mag, you can order a Sub to take those. A real tactica(?) advantage...... maybe, maybe no. Also, the Sub series can fold in half..... making it easy to clean and store.
Quality....... I think Keltec has Hi Point beat. I'v always been told to by quality....... not 'junk'. Considering I've bought Intratec stuff........ I know what I'm talking about after looking at those 'firearms' (which seem like one step above throwing a rock.......)
