HI-point 9mm carbine,need HELP!!

My rifle is doing something strange,it misfires every other round. The dent in the casings of the misfired shells are all to the bottom edge of the primer .The ones that fire are dead center like normal.What could be the problem and I NEED A FAST FIX! Thanks.
 
There are several possible causes. One is an oversize chamber, others are that either the barrel or bolt is off center or the firing pin is. Unless the problem was caused by incorrect reassembly, I don't think there is any quick fix. The good news is that Hi Point has a full warranty for the life of the gun; call them at 877-425-4867.

I had a problem with my hi-point carbine and they handled it great. Impressive customer service for a company that makes such ummm, economical (?) guns...

Also check and see if the hole the pin protrudes from is swagging itself out (getting larger). If it is, stop shooting it immediately till it is repaired. In fact that might not be so bad of an idea anyway.
