HI-POINT 45 Carbine

PT-92

I picked up my new HI-POINT 4595TSPRO Carbine and I've got to say that it's a great buy IMHO. Shoots FMJ just fine (first 250 rounds)--I will try some hollow points once I get some at a bulk-buy decent price.

So far, I like it as much as my Kel-Tec Sub-2000 with the exception that it doesn't fold up so is not quite as versatile. Nevertheless, I am quite impressed.

-Cheers

Yup, the Hi-Point carbines are greatly underrated. I have a 995 and a 4095 and like both of them. I had the 4095 threaded for suppressor use. Only reason I don't buy a 4595 is because I already have a Mech-tech CCU that uses 1911 mags.

The 4595 was vaporware for years, but it is now finally a reality.

PT-92, if you make it to 1K rounds without something breaking or falling off, I'll consider buying one. Don't ask me I want to know! Thank goodness for their great customer service!

My old model 40cal has passed 1000 without problems, blow out with air compressor, lube and she runs.:D Fun gun and accurate.

I have a masterpiece arms 45 carbine. Its mac-10 clone with a 16in barrel and uses grease gun 30 round mags the thing is a beast. I can hit a deer heart and lungs target at 100 yards. The open sights leave a lot to be desired but you can get a quad rail to attach better sights. Seems to me to be way over built and I have several hundred rounds through it w/o any issues.

My 9mm passed 1,000rds along time ago and its still going strong. Even if something does fall off or break, excellent warranty. :D

DE--I will indeed but I have a C9 HP with 800 rounds fired absent any problems with the exception that it didn't like S&B HP's (I am thinking about polishing the ramp--Yet I just use the beast {Its HUGE} for general plinking so I probably wont).

One final comment though, I fully understand peoples general skepticism concerning the HiPoint products. Face it, we live in an age of complete cynicism as a result of the absolute deterioration in craftsmanship due to the drive to reduce costs and perpetually increase profits. That being said, I really think that HiPoint bucks the trend and stands apart from the swindler companies in that they really do make a quality product for prices the common man can appreciate/afford and that is saying something in these crazy times we now find ourselves in. They are certainly not showcase items, but extremely effective tools (though I must say my carbine is a looker in my eyes at least--Conversely, my C9 is so ugly she's pretty so to speak).

Off my soapbox I go.

I have never heard of it but in taking a look quickly via a search, it's quite interesting and I like the capacity it offers. For my current economic situation, I went with the HP Carbine primarily for the known durability of their carbines vis-a-vis the price.

I own a 45. auto carbine and pistol from high point, and those things are awesome IMO. Fun, pack a punch and not to mention high point has always been easy on the wallet too. I havent had any problems what so ever if you keep it clean and oiled up I say it will shoot well passed 1000 without complications... after all mine has seen stuff I would consider extreme (mud, rain, and snow) and even in these it still has popped off rounds like it should

Overall they are great for the price! High point is cheap, but highly overlooked and overrated

I own a Hi-Point 9mm carbine that is amazingly accurate and very dependable with ball ammo. It is just a plinker for me so bullet design is not important, ball does fine.
I also own a .45acp and 9mm pistol from the same company. They too are quite fun to shoot and will digest anything, even my lead bullet reloads (swc). The 9mm came with a very heavy trigger, so I sent it back to the factory and in no time it was back with a decent trigger and an extra magazine for my troubles.
I am a believer in Hi-Point!! I have prettier guns but these are fun as heck.

I'm on my 3rd 9mm carbine; 2-old style and 1 tacticool. I have less than 500rnds thru one old; nothin broke yet. Both others have seen well over 500rnds and both have had problems. BUT, nothing that Hi-Point didn't replace for the asking...no cost to me. So, you pretty much get what you pay for. If it wasn't for their great customer service record, I would never have bought one. I'll wait and see how the 45 goes...not that I could afford to shoot it enough to break it!

My first handgun ever was a hipoint c9 9mm that I got at a gun show for$100. I fired at least 500rds through it before my first cleaning and subsequently my first jam. Afterwards it wouldn't fire 5 rounds without a jam. My hipoint was a good starter gun. Got me into shooting avidly. I wouldnt trade my first experiences with my hipoint with any other gun.....except a colt :)

Master blaster 2 said....... its the dirt poor mans weapon. Not just regular poor, dirt poor. I have one and Im not rich but Im a long way from dirt poor. Maybe Im just smart. Maybe I see a good deal and jump on it. Maybe thats why Im not dirt poor. Your to cool.

My Hi-Point Carbine

I have a Hi-Point 4595 and I have at least 4000 rounds of of surplus ammo through it,on the 2nd magazine I had 1 jam and after that it has had no issues. If you don't like it don't buy one, they do what they are supposed to do you pull the trigger it goes bang, and with the warranty you can't break em
