Hi-Cap Mags for SIG P226

Being a cheap skate and not wanting to spend $50+ per used mag, could somebody tell me about the aftermarket hi-cap mags for the SIG 226. Ones that are ok. Ones to absolutely avoid. I am only going to be doing range shooting.

In my experience, avoid Triple K and USA.

Pro Mag and Mec Gar are ok? I understand that Mecgar actually makes the "factory" mags. Not sure if that is true.

I have some USA brand magazines for my P226. I haven't had any problems with them at all.

I have a pair of Mec-Gar 17-rnd mags for my 9mm P226 and have had no problems with them.

You are correct. MecGar has made a great number of factory SIG mags...and OEM for a fair number of other manufacturers as well.

MecGar makes the best aftermarket mags for sigs esp since they did make it for sig. Pro mag is ok also. Someitmes you get a good one and sometimes a bad one. But for the most part you will get a good one. I have an extended 10 round hi cap mag for my p220 from Pro mag and i works great.
