Hi-cap = illegal?

I live in Utah and want to buy a 50 round 10/22 mag. Hi-caps are legal here, but I've only ever seen 30 round clips - or 40 for an AK. The clip would be used with a post/ban gun if that makes a differance.
Anyone live in Utah and know if I can get this?

I am proudly a UTAHN (is that a word ?) And yes you can get them. They are rare and sometimes ungodly expensive...I have
seen them at shows upwards of 160.00 $ The 50 rounders are
commonly referred to as "banana clips". As are the 25 rnd clips.
Check with Galensons in slc, Impact in ogden and Van Wagenens in orem...also CDNN in shot gun news.....shoot well.

If you get a 50 rounder that will reliably feed a full magazine.....consider yourself blessed and buy a lottery ticket.

C.R.Sam, I have two 50 round Ramline magazines for my 10-22 and they both feed without a flaw. In fact, I'd loaded one fully, put it away, forgot where I put it, didn't find it until we sold and left L.A., and moved to Idaho. When I found it, I didn't bother to unload it, but took it out to the mountains to a range, cranked up and fired off the 50 rounds as fast as I could, just for "cheats and grins". Not one malfunction. That magazine had, to the best of my knowledge, been loaded for about five years.

I have four 25 round magazines, two Ramlines and two Butlers, and they never fail me. But, they are all around 12-15 years old. Maybe I just got the good ones, but they work very well.

FWIW. J.B.

YEAH ! ... i agree with sacco 583, i have a 50 round ramline and the thing is flawless .. ( other than the fact that its feed lips are PLASTIC ! ARGH ! MORONS AT RAMILNE ! ) ..:o
