Interesting thing in Texas since the Democratic party is Dead, Dead, Dead in Texas. Kaput, deceased, over. I do think in a few counties they still elect Democrats, but those Democrats are just a little more conservative than the Republicans. Texas still has its priorities.
 
kjm, you still have to be a democrat to get elected to anything in local politics in East Texas. BUT, our Rep Jim Turner gets an A from NRA in its ratings. They may be Dems around here because granpa's gramps was, but they are conservative as all get out. BTW, I saw my first Gore sticker/yard sign today.
