For $339 this seems like a superb deal, though I don't know much about Ruger revolver pricing. Please move this thread if it's in the wrong place.

I just bought one used for $195.00, and I'm fixing it up. NIB sounds like a good price to me. I was just there. 15 minutes left...Go for it!!!

Is it just the pictures or is that a wear ring around the cylinder? The price seems a little steep to me. I picked up a very nice 4" blued Security Six at a gun show last year for $150.00.

I'd say it's a little too high, although the condition is unusual, most of these revolvers show a little wear but function perfectly. I have owned 4 revolvers of the "Six" series and they are undervalued They are extremely rugged, good shooting high quality guns.
Buy it-it will last forever.

I seem to be changing from a Smith fan who likes Rugers to a Ruger fan who likes Smiths.

Looks like it to me..... so its either been dry fired a lot or maybe isnt NIB?

According to the Blue Book the last MSRP was $287. I paid about $240 for my 4" .357 just before they quit making them.

I might pay their starting price for a NIB gun, but not what they're asking plus the shipping & transfer fee.

Now I see it. I viewed the auction on a different computer and I see that funny wear. They should probably change the auction title to something like "Ruger Service Six - In a New Box!"
