Hey, Sig Sauer Guys. I have a couple questions.

I’m picking up a p229 classic in 40s&w. I’ve read that Sig redesigned the p229 frame at some point. My questions are: are the magazines compatible with the older vs the newer designs, and if I wanted to get a 357 sig barrel for it are the barrels the same between the old and new. Thanks in advance for the info.
 
Nope, there's a difference in the magazines where the new clips won't fit up into the old frames. As far as I know, the barrels will swap ok.
 
I thought the redesign mainly affected the 9mm variants because the frame change was a result of using the 40SW frame for all calibers, IIRC.
