Want better forum software so you don't have to lock threads all the time?
http://www.vbulletin.com/

Very very good stuff, uses SQL, just like OpenTopic, only you can host it yourself and it's less buggy.

Wanna see it in use, go to
http://www.atforumz.com/

(if that site is slow it's just the server not the software...)

Just a thought anyway, may wanna check it out, it costs about the same as UBB too.

No problem, good luck :)

By the way, if you need a guy that's really good with it to give you some advice, I have a friend who knows it pretty well and will see if I can get him to contact you. Might be tricky though, he's a liberal :)

I liked it enough to buy it.

Prelim Eval:
- Administrative Functionality Rocks
- Options for Members are easier and more diverse
- Search Functionality rocks
- Takes approximately 1/5 the space of UBB
- Has auto import from UBB for all member and prev post info: Checked it...works fine

We'll be checking to see if it's fast enough. Currently it's in a partition with lots more room than this one, but it's much slower to open topics. I have to believe this is more a function of the way we have the system resources allocated than a problem with the software.

Email me, I'll direct you to that guy I mentioned, and hopefully he will help. He knows that software very well.
