Scott has added new language this year that would require the state to conduct annual checks to see if anyone holding a handgun license has moved into a prohibited category, a status triggered by felony or violent misdemeanor convictions, domestic restraining orders and court findings of mental illness.

Driving your car is a privledge. Owning a gun is a right and you don't license rights, except in socialist California where the sheeple have no rights! I would like to see the DEMI-gods that run this state show us any conclusive and undisputable evidence that these sort of laws do anything to stop violent crime. They won't because they can't. Their only goal is to continue the incremental harassment of gun owners until we give them up because we are too tired to fight any longer.
