hey guys!!!!!!

Cant see much of a ccw role for a .410. 45 colt doesnt appeal to me in that role much either. though for hunting yes hot loaded .45 will do. But I would prefer a .454 casuall/.45 lc type revo for that. interesting though.

I kinda think of the 410 as the 357 of the shotgun world

what I mean is that it is a very fast round and it has about 600 pounds of force.
I think it would make a good SD round because of that. I wil see how it goes when I get it. I like the look of that loooong cylinder and the short barrel!
the one 410 shotgun that I have fired I loved the caliber the first shot! I love the 'shotgunness' of it but it feels like a rifle. love guns! :) :) :)

Looks like Taurus made a pretty version of the old Thunder 410. Loaded with a 410 slug could put out some serious wamp-um. But then, I'd just as soon use a Model 415T in .41 Mag for that. :D

It's fairly heavy for a 5-shot wheelgun (32 oz) and it's certainly "distinctive" looking. I suppose the business end is pretty impressive - what with that engraved "Union Pacific" logo over the dark tunnel of the barrel. ;)

Another "solution" looking for a question, but failing dismally to find one.

Word to the wise.

NEVER use shot in one of these things. We did that with a Thunder5 when I worked for NRA. The velocity was so low with No. 6 shot that they bounced off the 2x4 target hanger. I took hits in the ear, cheek, throat, and dead center over my right eye on the safety glasses. The firer was similarly struck.
