You are Gear Whore! Now this not a derogatory statement by any means. I just means You collect a lot of gear(pistols and swords). I came to this conclusion after the sword post. I myself am a hiking Gear Whore and I am proud of it. I wanna see a post with pictures of all swords and pistols especial the .380. So my question(finally) is do you have any shotguns or rifles?

All the swords will not fit on one photo -- even in that one photo that I post, you could barely see some of them.

All the guns in one photo might be a little hard to do because I have repeats of some of them which ... uhh ... that's is ... err ... the wife doesn't exactly know about. For example (and this is pre-agreement stuff) when S&W came out with their new tactical line of pistols, I loved them because they were ideal for concealed carry and I bought some. The following year, the slightly increased the size and added an equipment rail under the slide -- thereby, making it less concealable. Older models couldn't have been ordered so I searched various gun stores that still had them in stock and picked up an extra one of each model. So, I might not be able to get everything in one photo but I'll try the next time I'm home alone.

The Browning BDA380 I'll try to photo, develope, scan and post within the next couple of days for ya.

I don't own any rifles or shotguns myself (although I did have one in the house for about a year ago that my wife borrowed for her uncle for several months -- long story for another time) because I'm originally for NJ where place to shoot rifles & shotguns was very limited usually more than an hour's drive away from me (and that was the nearest one) and I like to frequently practise with what I have so that I can be good with it. Consequently, I never got around to buying one.

If this thread doesn't get closed, I'll post the photos when I get them (the BDA380 by Sunday or early next week and the others maybe a week or two out) OR if the thread does get closed and your e-mail is available in your profile, I'll e-mail them to ya.

Regards,
FUD

Cool! you are the man! I asked about the shotgun or rifle because of your post about which handgun for home defense. The obvious answer is SHOTGUN. Plus knowing what a collector you are I thought"This guy has to have shotgun somewhere" I am sure others are interested in your large S&W collection and swords. Keep them post coming!

Damn FUD you need to make a "Gun Room" with a dead-bolt on the door!! (might wanna 'blackout' all the windows too) That way your wife cant "see" what you are upto in your room. ;)

Just dont lock yourself in there for days on end.. :D

Hey FUD, do you have a 4513 TSW without accessory rail? I used to own one, it was a very good carry piece which I carried everyday from the day I bought it in 1998 until I sold it back to the store I bought it from in June of 2000 due to financial problems. I still miss that gun, but my Glock 30 comforts me (the added 4 rounds helps too ;) )

Doggies FUD - I didn't know you were a sword affictionado. A good matchete is much better for those "in yard" repti-gators than a hand gun. 'Course they much harder to tuck under a tee shirt.

Don't know about pictures of the Browning BDA .380 - I have a Beretta 84 that's about the same thing - but I think if your wife likes it and shoots it well - leave well enough alone.

PS - I'm still interested in the "mix and match" concept of LW high speed ammo and heavy bullet mixes in a single magazine. Just haven't got my glasses changed as yet.

Keep the pot stirred.

45er, Yep. Got the 4513TSW without the rail as well as the 4013TSW and 3913TSW without the rails. Never understood the logic of putting an equipment rail on a gun that was going to be used mainly for concealed carry. But then again, lately there has been a lot of things about S&W that I no longer understand. If you want to share more of your thoughts, comments & ideas with regard to Smith & Wesson products, come join other S&W owners on a Web Board that I co-moderate at the Smith & Wesson Firearms Enthusiast's Forum, which is no way affiliated with the Smith & Wesson Company of Springfeild, MA.

Jim, the Browning BDA380 is a production twin of the Beretta 84. As a matter of fact the BDA380 was actually made by Beretta for Browning. Except for some slight difference in appearance the two guns are almost identical with the major exception being the safeties on the two guns.

With regard to the mix & match concept, I just feel that logically, two quick shots with one slow & heavy and one fast & lite will be more effective than two fast & lites or two slow & heavies because two slow & heavies will both go deep into the same area and two fast & lites will expand across the same area but one fast & lite will expand across one area while the slow & heavy will penetrate deeper into an untouched area. Just my $0.02 worth.
