To oversimplify the situation, about half the people voted. About half went for Gore, half for Bush.

For all practical purposes, the half that didn't vote, plus the Gore folks, means that the present brouhaha--assuming Gore wins out--in Florida is unimportant to them. That's 3/4 of the bloomin' country. Your opinion is unimportant to them. Mine, too, dang it.

I think you'll find that silence is golden. Mouth music is not profitable...
