I lost that thread about the Feral Govt.
closing down our ranges.
My information is that the Forestry Dept.in
Queensland is not going to renew licenses to
shoot on their reserves, starting at the end
of this year---nothing in writing yet but I'll keep an eye on it and let you know what
I hear.

Oooohhh!

"Back door" confiscation. Registration and acquienscence always leads to that kind of thing.

What fun! When's your next "election"?

You know - Southern Utah is hot and Dusty just like a lot of the Land of Oz... Property is not expensive there - and I would be happy to come down there on the weekends to help you set up your own ranges.

Hi BH:

I had that thread about range leases not being renewed confirmed yet again.

So -- no ranges on public land, and no hunting on "public" land.

Looks like a lot of QLDers are going to lose their guns next year.

Whose turn next?

Maybe I'm an optimist, but I don't think things are quite as bad as it might appear. Our State Opposition parties,in particular The Nationalists, have proposed winding back some of the Gun Law restrictions to make the system more workable
and fairer. As you will know Bruce,Queenslanders are politically conservative and for many years had a conservative government. If the Labour Party gets the arse next time we could see changes for the better.
I don't really know if the Feral Govt can hang on in power after sticking us with the
GST,but regardless of that the State Govt
could change---just have to wait and see.
