Hevi·shot

I didn't realize there was a hevi-shot choke tube. the only thing I was aware of was that hevi-shot could be shot in any shotgun that was good for steel
 
The Full tube that comes with new barrels now says for lead or steel. One of those will work. I used a Carlson's Light Full tube last season with perfect results. Its also Hevi-friendly.

The Standard Modified will work OK, but only some patterning will tell how well.
 
Hevi-Shot

Two seasons of Hevi-Shot thru my Nova modified "lead" choke has worked just fine. I do suspect some of the Browning Invector shooters should use the I/C choke as the Browning's seem to be just a bit tighter and the constriction is in a shorter length. The Invector Plus should work fine in the modified. I tried the full choke on my NOVA and it seemed to blow the pattern some what.

Note, the Federal Tungsten did not pattern well with the 'lead' modified choke, but did fine with the I/C. I don't shoot steel so cannot help. Steel is too expensive to shoot.
