I just bought 100 rds of it for my Mosin Nagant.
I am overall happy with the performance,
It is much better than the Brown Bear stuff.
This stuff is also non corossive. So thats a plus.
148 grain FMJ.
Does anybody have the Ballistic Coefficient for this bullet?
I've searched and searched, and no luck.
It seems the average BC for this type of round is about 0.497.
I'll just use that in my calcuator until I get a for sure answer.
Any other ammo you like in this caliber?

I spent a day once just testing some different ammo. Yes Brown Bear sucks!
Here is what worked in my rifle. Best were 1 - 2" group.

1 - Prvi Match (Probably the most accurate).

2 - Bulgarian Brass (Shoots way high and left. Actually groups well but way off POA for my gun).

3 - Hungarian Steel Case (3-4" group. Rifle did not like this).

4 - Yellow Tip Heavy Ball (Just plain sucked).

5 - Brown Bear (By far the worst, most inaccurate ammo in this rifle).

6 - Wolf Brass (Very nice. Almost as good as Prvi).

7 - Winchester Soft Point (Very good as well).

8 - Russian Silver Tip (Best surplus in my rifle).

Don't remember where I read it (probably 7.62x54 net) but surplus has a BC around .325 if I recall.

My mosin's all shoot Bulgarian Heavy Ball brass cased ammo fairly well. My go to hunting ammo is S&B 174gr. I have killed many deer with that ammo. My longest shot on a big doe was just over 200yrds.

I bought 2-300rd. cases of the Bulgarian Heavy Ball at a local PS about 2yrs ago for $75 a case. I like the fact that its brass cased and even though its corrosive I dont have to worry about my chambers getting gunked up from polymer steel cased ammo.
