Heritage Revolver

Either Gander Mountain or Academy, I don't remember which and the ad is downstairs, has a Heritage 22lr single action revolver on sale Friday for $99.
I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has personal experience with these firearms.

I've had a coupe of them and found them to be a good bargain, I'd like to get another for a truck gun. My son in law uses the heck out of his 6.5" convertible, a lot of rounds through it and still going strong.

I have had two HRR's and still have one. Good gun for the money. Accurate and reliable for a plinker. The only thing that I had an issue with was the thin finish, but what do you want for a gun that costs less than half of a Single Six.

I have one and love it! and you can buy the .22WMR cylinder from Heritage for around $35 and shipping. Great little revolver, I taught my 12 year old how to shoot a hand gun with mine. He loves the gun too and wants it someday.

They are very accurite

I bought one for $99 last year and didn't care for it. The sights were tiny and the end of the ejector rod was made of plastic. On the other hand, I got more than $99 for it on a trade in, so all's well that ends well.

I paid about double that for mine and I would do it again. It has been a good gun with no problems and it is more accurate than I am. I have been very pleased. Mine has the case hardened finish and I think it looks better than the base one.

Just looked at one at Dinner yesterday...

Niece bought herself one a few weeks back from Buds...

I was kinda dumbfounded by the quality for the money paid...

I liked the 'clicks', the grips, and the recessed chambers...I did not like the lawyered up hammer block 'safety'?

I had one before Taurus bought them out. Good little gun that never gave me any trouble. I only sold it to finance something with a bigger hole in the barrel.

Woah!!!

$100.00 for one of those little guys?!?

I don't know who could say no to that!

I've had personal experience with them, and from what I've seen, they work. I've also heard that if your gun were to develop some sort of problem, the customer service is great and they will take care of it at no cost to you.

I had one and liked it, except for the 6 1/2" barrel. I have this thing about handgun barrels. Between 4" and 6" they're good. Over or under I don't care for them for some reason.

I didn't think that extra 1/2" would matter, but it just bugged the devil out of me, so I sold it. Nothing wrong with the gun at all, just one of my quirks. It shot cans just fine with 22 shorts.

I didn't like the safety either, but big deal. I just ignored it. The next guy in line might love it.

For $100.00 I'd buy another one. But with a 4 5/8" barrel. :D

Another vote for Heritage's customer service! I ordered my holster and extra .22WMR cylinder from them and it was at my door in 4 days for less than $60 for both.

On a side note, if you get the extra cylinder you can carry it with you in a speed loader pouch. It takes less than 30seconds to switch cylinders on this gun. So if your in the field and need more firepower form the .22 mag then just switch the cylinders. I carry my extra cylinder already loaded in the speed loader pouch.

This makes a great little backpack gun or a hiking/hunting sidearm that is cheap to shoot.

They are decent enough guns,,,

They are decent enough guns,,,
like someone else already posted,,,
Just don't expect Ruger quality from it.

Even at full price they are a decent value.

In recent years I have purchased three as gifts,,,
All three shot to point of aim at 25 yards,,,
Clay pigeons were very easy to hit.

There are certainly better guns out there,,,
But they all come with a much higher price tag.

If it weren't the long barrel model,,,
I would buy a few in advance at that price.
