I just got done reading an article on Gunblast.com about a new .32 mag from Heritage. I checked their website and it still has their news from the SHOT show of two years ago. I then checked out www.newguns.net and found out that they also make a .45LC. Does anyone know why they haven't added this to their website? Also, this article spoke very hightly of their .32mag. Is it worth it? Does anyone have one?

I have. Their 32 Magnums are POJ. Heritage/Stealth/Rough Rider firearms are POJ across the board. The only firearms O have had fall apart with fewer than 20 shots fired. I would NOT wish to be around a 45 caliber Heritage revolver. They used to make a 45 ACP Stealth semi-auto POJ.

My local shop has a .45Colt Heritage revolver in now. It is Italian made, I don't remember which manufacturer right now. It is a stainless, traditional single action gun. Fit and finish look alright on this model, lock up and trigger feel are good.
They have it priced new at $359. For that price there are alot of choices out there that are known performers. He's had it over a month and no one has taken any interest in it.
Fillipietta(sp?) is the manufacturer stamped on the barrel.

Heritage is cheap. That I will not dispute.

However, their .22s are very good little guns, and I have had years of good service from mine. The Heritage Stealth .45 was, and is, a very, very good little gun. Now Made by Cobra, it is one of the best choices available for concealed carry. Utterly reliable, and imminently affordable.

My mom owned the 6.5" .22 and it was a good little gun. My main complaint was the sharp edges on the hammer, very uncomfortable even with my callouses. There was an issue of the spent shells, deformed by the firing pin, locking up rotation of the cylinder. Only time I ever sent a gun part in for repair. Got back and I never had the problem again. It does have a manual safety, which may be a positive for some, IMO unnessisary on a SA revolver.
It is somewhat rough in fit and finish but the price is right, and a good bargain at that. I would reccomend them and am looking forward to getting a .32 mag short barrel with pearl bird head grips.

I'm glad to find a few more +1s for Heritage Arms. My first gun is going to be a Rough Rider (6 1/2" Barrel in Blued Aluminum Frame) From what i've heard of them, they were pretty good, especially for the price.

I bought a Rough Rider 22 LR/Mag a few years back, and have been generally pleased with it. As has been stated, it is a cheap gun both price wise and in fit/finish. However, it gets the job done. I have fired mags, long rifles, and even those Aguila Super Quiet (or whatever they are called, powderless at any rate) cartridges out of it, and never had any problems. It hits pretty much at POA, and is great for plinking. The only thing that I have had to be mindful of is the "hammer screw" or whatever it is called. After quite a bit of use it tends to loosen, and you have to re-tighten it. Never caused a problem during usage, just something that I have to keep a check on. All this being said though, I might be a bit leary of getting one of their more powerful guns. I would really want to check it out first. And if the .45 version is 359, I feel pretty sure that you could find a Blackhawk used for that pretty easy and I had much rather have the Ruger.
