I believe the model 10s were for Sports south and they only made a hundred or so of them They were the first to get the Doug Turnbull color case treatment. There is no key lock on this one. to tell the truth, it was a bit rough out of the box but a couple of hundred rounds settled the parts in and it smoothed itself out. Expensive though it is, this may be the cheapest way to get the Turnbull color case treatment on something. You can also get a heritage 24 or .45/25 in straight blue and I wouldn't be surprised if that version isn't more popular I take care of this one. No harsh chemicals and I use a synthetic holster when I carry it around. I also put paste wax on the frame for storage. You might look at lewhorton.com for a full run-down on this heritage series.
The have some K-22 versions and some varieties of Ed McGivern commerative k frame 38s as well as some .44 magnums.
The guns have the frame mounted firing pin and MIM parts all of which hasn't caused me much worry as I have a MIM 617 with several thousand rounds through it and no problems The McGivern Bead is something I am generaly able to ignore. Other people either pry them out or black them over. I can't say that it does much for my style of shooting but it is kind of a neat touch.
The grips are from Altamount but I would bet they get them from somebody else. They are mineral streaked high grade walnut and way nicer than anything else doen by a/mount.
