Since Uberti makes the the 1866 in 38spl, I wish they would make a Henry rifle in 357/38 and 44spl!!!! I think the steel army version would hold up.

Vostracker: Uberti makes special runs of their Henries in .44 Special with steel frame now and then. I know because I own one from 2006 production.
Bootsie aka Long Johns Wolf

Google Henry Rifles the company is still making Henry rifles here.

Whacha mean still? They have no connection to the original Henry Arms Co. other than the name. They make it sound like they do but they don't.

But now one model has a solid brass frame which is something else in common with the orginal Henry even if it's only a distant connection. :)

I'd also love to have an 1860 in .44Spl, to go with my replica .44Colts. I do note that Cimarron offers the 1866 and 1873 in .44Spl though. I was all set to order one last year but never followed through.

There is no connection, not even a distant one. They're just banking on the historic Henry name and hoping people don't realize the difference. IMHO, if what you want is an 1860 Henry, nothing the current Henry Repeating Arms Co. offers would suffice.

Nothing they have has any history behind it. It's all new stuff. Not that it's bad it's just not historical and to play on a historical name like Henry Arms is deceiving.

I know, I know.
A Ruger Old Army isn't quite the same as a Remington 1858 New Model Army, a Ruger Blackhawk or Vaquero isn't quite the same as a Colt Peacemaker and a 4 screw Ruger Blackhawk or old Vaquero isn't quite the same as a 3 screw Ruger Backhawk or a new Vaquero.
Even MacDonald's hamburgers and french fries aren't made and cooked up the same way as they were originally. :D

Yes but there is at least some lineage there. The Old Army is based on the Remington '58, just as the original Blackhawk and Single Six borrowed heavily from the Colt Model P. Never heard of a 4-screw Blackhawk but there is also defined lineage from Old Models to New Models.

There is absolutely no lineage between the original Henry, which was produced by Winchester, and the currect Henry Repeating Arms Co. None. Not the family, not the guns, nothing. Henry's current guns are not based on anything, though some to try to mimic the original slightly cosmetically. Their only tie to the original Benjamin Tyler Henry is the name only.

Uberti makes Henry reproductions

Nobody is arguing that.

No but you made it sound as if it was the original Henry Arms Co. which it is not.

I like the Henry rifles at least I like my Golden Boy .22 and it's just a scaled down model of the Big Boy. Looks exactly the same just smaller.

I can't make anything sound to other than how I meant it to be said. And I did not make any Referance to Original Henrys... so sorry about that.
