Henry Survival Rifle

Bought Bamaboy a Henry Survival Rifle for his birthday. We cleaned it, lubed and shot about a box of shells through it. Ran fine, and the fixed peep shot exactly to point of aim at 25 yds.

I did not research the little rifles much. I'd heard Henry got them right and went on and bought one. Kid seemed really interested in the Survival Rifles , he's got access to several (mine) good .22's for training and accuracy work, so I figured why not get this novelty rifle (?) if he likes it.

Trigger is TERRIBLE, but the rifle seems to run and hits where it looks.

Any comments?

if it functions ok and shoots decent would think it would be a great gun cause you can take it apart and easy to carry with you anywhere or leave in a vehicle.

my buddy just bought one and yes the trigger needs work but for what it is it does the job. simple reliable and it follows the 3 F's Form Follows Function.

The one I bought wouldn't get through a mag without a jam. Weird gun, the hollow buttstock made a 'TUMP' sound when fired. Couldn't really find a purpose for it.

But hey...it floats!
