Henry steel 357 jamming problem final chapter

I got one of the new model Henry steel receiver lever actions in 357 a while back and it had severe issues with failures to eject and jamming. Henry told me to send it back which I did, and they sent me a nice new rifle. Unfortunately, they sent me a .44 magnum instead of a .357, so it had to go back too.

I just received the replacement .357 and took it to the range today. No failures to eject and no jams. So everything was resolved and I was not out any money at all. They paid for all the shipping back and forth.

I'm a satisfied customer. If not for the mistake with sending the .44 mag, it would have been resolved within a couple of weeks. It is a beautiful rifle, equal to uberti 1866 and 1873's that I have.

Nice to hear someone that can work with the manufacturer and get things resolved. Nice to hear that you're a happy camper now!:)

Good to hear, especially since I have 3 Henry's: a .22 pump, a .22 lever (carbine) and a .45 Colt. I haven't had any issues whatsoever with mine, though, and fit/finish/shooting is great.

Chaz12,thanks for your 357 final chapter post on your Henry Big Boy steel.I'm close to ordering the 44mag.for Indiana deer hunting.Never owning a Henry,I wondered about their CS.Your timely post took care of that, thanks again.:D

Henry is an awesome company and has great CS. My Henry 22 lever action had a loose forend so they said they said they would pick me out a new one with nice wood and sent it to me for free, they also sent me a metal barrel band to replace the plastic one that they used for a short while.

you mean a henry had problems new from the factory? that just can,t be. that only happens with marlins i,ve been told. eastbank.

I've been tossing around the idea for another Henry and I think after reading your follow-up, I'm gonna get the Steel .357. I've already got 2 Golden Boys (.44mag mine, .357mag wifes) and a .22lr. They are hard to beat.
