Henry rifles

Have you done up a straight up Google search for that model/caliber? You could try an arfcom EE listing for (WTB) wanting to buy.

Very new guns. Don't think they're cancelled, just rolling them out at a leisurely pace.
Saw a .44 Rem Mag on Gunbroker, but not the one I want.
I want the steel .44 with a nice soft recoil pad.

They are very nice people to deal with. I think I would contact them directly and tell them what you are seeking. They might be able to tell you where to find one, or if it's available at all.

From what I've heard it's a limited release until they get fully up to speed on making them. I'm holding out for one in .45-70...

You can either complain about product delays and slow deployment OR you can complain about being a beta tester for new designs that have flaws.

I am much more patient than forgiving.

Deer_Hunter88 - I doubt if Henry will make a lever action.308 Win lever action. They'll get sued the first time some bozo loads it with pointy bullets and it has a magazine explosion. The French overcame this problem in the tubular magazine Lebel with a rimmed cartridge that was naturally inclined to point downwards. The pointed bullet rested not against the primer of the cartridge ahead of it but against its rim. The Savage 99 managed pointy bullets with a rotary and later detachable box magazine.

Now, single shots like what you want are very doable. Write them and suggest it.

As previously said said Henry already makes a 308 lever action which is called the Long Ranger. And it has a box magazine;)

He wants a single shot in 308 anyways.
He can have it all to himself. I have dealt with enough single shots to know that putting anything that kicks at all in them is not worth it. Too light and the action soaks up nothing. I'll spend the extra money and calories to tote a semi-auto that weighs twice as much.

A .308 kicks?

A .308 doesn’t kick. In fact I mostly deer hunt with a 45-70 H&R single shot and even it doesn’t kick that bad.

yeah, I hunt with a 45-70 single shot. Unless shooting the Hornady rounds designed for high speed out of 16" barrels. Low pressure nd mostly slow burning.
308 out of a battle rifle isn't bad. A scoped bolt isn't bad. I'll pass on the single shot unless I'm left with little choice.

The French 8mm Lebel Balle D also had a groove around the primer pocket to trap the nose of the following spitzer bullet in the tube magazine. It was kind of a kluge, first run Lebel ammo was roundnose. Later French issue was the Mannlicher Berthier with en bloc clip loading. Three whole rounds at first, later a five shot.

The Pedersen design Remington 14 and 141 pumps had spiral flutes around the magazine tube to tilt FMJ bullet noses away from the next primer up.

In addition to the previously mentioned Long Ranger (223 & 308), Henry has single shot models in 44 Mag, 223, 308, 243 & 45-70. Quote affordable as well.

I've given up all hope of ownership concerning a Henry single shot. "Oh how much I so wanted a 45-70 one for my very own."

It appears today if I do get the chance to buy one?_ By then.

I'll have a brand new wall so to hang Imperato's single shot above my head in my nursing home Anthony Imperato.
