Henry Hyde,, Republican anti gunner from Chicago area, and Chairman of House Judiciary Committee appeared with Orin Hatch today on Face the Nationl I believe. When asked about LaPierre's characterization of Clinton, "he accepts a certain level of violence for political gain", Hyde noted that the comment was unfortunate, that he would not have used those terms and so forth and so on. He did NOT say that LaPierre was incorrect or wrong.
Otherwise, one needs to be very cautious around any sort of "compromise" that Hyde might come up with. I personally, would not trust him and The Second Amendment in the same room, unless The Second were "heavily armed and armored".
