About a month ago I bought a Henry .22 lever action. The foregrip started to get very loose so I sent Henry an email asking if I can update the plastic barrel band to metal to see if that would fix the problem. They not only sent me the metal barrel band free of charge, but a metal front site to replace the plastic one, and they sent me a brand new foregrip all on their dime! The foregrip is now tight as can be and I no longer have to cringe when looking at the plastic sites and barrel band. Note to all interested in Henry Rifles. From what they told me they no longer produce rifles with plastic sites and barrel bands, even for their cheapest models. The only thing I had against this rifle before was the plastic parts.Great rifle for a great price.

Some folks are not too keen on the painted alloy receiver on Henrys, but this has never bothered me, nor has it been a factor in the accuracy or reliability of my Frontier .22LR. Glad to hear you got such great service.
 
I also read a lot about the zamac receivers and the painted covers. I realized that it's a .22, and there's nowhere near the kind of physics involved that would cause any problems with it. My mechanics have been flawless, and I do think it's one of the most attractively furnitured pieces in my "collection."

Thanks a million. When I bought my 22 WMR they at that time did not have replacements. I just got off the phone with them and have the replacements on the way. This is one reason I like this forum so much!
 
I purchased a used Henry Golden Boy at a gun show in January. It was a bit rough but the price was right. I purchased a new reciever cover and brasslite barrel band from Henry and when i didn't recieve the barrel band in the order I called and they sent me another cover and a band. Since then I noticed an occasional missfeed problem and called Henry to see if they could recommend a fix. I spoke directly to Anthony Imperado the company president. His fix was send it to me I'll take care of it. Henry sent me a UPS shipping label, and a box to ship the rifle in. 3 weeks later it was back in my hands with the recieved rebuilt, no plastic parts in this one that I can find, and both stocks and the rear sight replaced. NO charge, No hassle.
This is truly great service especially considering they had been told that my gun was purchased used at a gun show.
 
Thats great that they did the right thing, but IMO they should have never used plastic for the sights and or barrel band in the first place. There are just parts of a gun that should always be metal.

Do you sometimes wish that manufacturers would draw the line on cheap consumers and just say "no we can not and will not shave anymore cost on producing this gun so you can save $10.00"
 
To me, customer service is a huge deal and I've been looking at Henry rifles for a little while now. It may be the next one to drop into my hands. I know they are a little on the heavy side but that doesn't bother me. I do like how how nice and tight they feel and they seem to fit my ergos very well. I not sure which one I will run with but the Big Boy in 44 looks pretty good. ;)
 
Henry's customer sevive is excellent.I was having a problem
with finding the proper tang site from Marbles (I had received 3 sights from
Marbles-none of them were the right angle) for the Henry golden boy,
so I called the Henry people . They staightened me out and
as a remark I said is there anything they can do about
the gritty trigger.They sent me a honed trigger and sear
for nothing,zippo ,zero.nada. They are the best!!
 
I can't tell you how much I like my used Henry 22. It was a consignment so I expected *something* to need attention, but no. It shoots and handles flawlessly. Highly recommended.

Just one thing...if you experience a dud, just eject it. Don't try to put it back in the tube, jams up the action as the rim is now wider than the tube. :eek:
