Well I was reading about the old days and there occasional shootout.Them folks were close enough to reach over an knock each other in the head with something,rather than shoot them.Because back then their ballistics weren't as good as ours are today,an the 45 colt still today is not accurate where I stand.Pass the 50 yard mark your a blowed up duck,unless you want to try and figure 14.9 in. drop On a drink can,that's between 75-100 yards.So they must have been mighty close to kill anyone or really lucky.
There was a saying in the book Anyone standing in front of a man no matter the distance with a henry that knows how to use it is a dead man.
One of the problems is the barrel heats up really quick even though it's hex,then it's all over the place.Henry folks told me that their rifles don't like heavy bullets,very true ,I tried 300 gr.,went all over,250 swc I could stack at 25yards..
I'm kind of disappointed in the rifle,I let my wife talk me into it because I been wanting one,I just didn't do enough research.So its going up for sale I can't sell it in here because I'm not a member of something or other.
