Henry .22 Mag soft primer strikes.

Lately my Henry lever .22 Mag hasn't been shooting like it should. I would say that about half the time it won't fire with the first hammer strike. A second hammer strike will always make it go through. Tried different ammo with the same results. Attached is a picture of a spent casing. It looks to me like it isn't striking as far in on the rim as it should. Thoughts?

When in doubt, clean, clean and then clean some more.
Have you tried cleaning the firing pin and all associate areas?

Yup. Disassembled, took the "bolt" out, cleaned and lubed everything to no avail.

Henry has a lifetime warranty even if you're not the original owner. Contact them by email or phone, they'll get your rifle working normally.

The firing pin and its passage should be assembled dry. No oil ever.

Hmm, this could be a problem as I keep everything pretty well oiled.
