Henry .22 Lever

Hello everyone,
I am a new shooter and recently had a few firsts. I started buying a 9mm old Beretta 92 and ended up selling it to a collector and getting the m9 American made. Despite what I have read on the American Beretta, I have been well pleased. My biggest concern was $12/box ammo (which is cheap) on my budget and enjoyment. Anyway, I wanted a Marlin 39a but couldn't find one in my $300 budget limit so I bought the basic round barrel Henry with a 3x-9x 40 used Tasco scope.
All I can say is wow! I have never shot with a scope or mounted a scope but I got my chance. I learned to shoot on iron sights with my Grandpa teaching me and with a Daisy 880. I took my new toy to an indoor 25 yard range.I mounted the scope with weaver mounts and finally got the vertical and horizontal crosshairs right. I then shot and adjusted to the point I put 40 shots through a 1" circle.
Having lots of fun, I am going to try to sight the scope at 110yards at a local range. I was wandering if anyone had any advice as I know things will change. All I know is I have had lots more fun and now wonder if I still want to save for the 39a or buy another bigger rifle at a similar price. I love the smooth lever action and am shocked at the enjoyment I got out of this pea shooter.
Thanks
Oh, someone asked about my user name. It's what my ex-girlfriend used to yell when I came to pick her when I was mad about her constant griping.

Well, just off the top of my head...you'll have difficulty detecting hits with your scope. Might want to bring along a spotting scope if you have one. Those 'shoot-n-see' targets are great.

I learned something about a tube fed 22 the other day. If you have a dud/misfire, don't drop the thing into the magazine again for a re-hit. It jams up the action, and the Henry is not easy to take apart. So if it goes CLICK, just shuck it out and move on.

She probably meant "turdalert"...:D

I have a Henry H001T - the octagon barrel version. I love that rifle. I replaced the sights on it, and used it for silhouette competition. I've never experience any kind of failure - and it shoots anything I care to load into it.

No complaints here.

I'm looking at getting the H001T (octagon barrel) what kind of price did you pay for it and have you compared it to the basic model? Is it worth the extra money? How accurate is it? I want to put a scope on one and use it to shoot squirrels and coons and stuff and want it to be as accurate as I need it to be... and I just want to have fun shooting cans and such!

I believe the 001T octagon barrel has steel sights vs the plastic ones on the basic 001 model. I have the octagon barrel Henry and love it.
