Henry .22 first session.

I picked up my Henry .22 levergun on Thursday, and took the day off to go to the range on Friday.

I fired about 200 or so Federal copper plated hollowpoint bulk pack rounds through it. Not a bauble or hiccup, the action feels smooth, and the trigger is really nice. The fit and finish is quite good for the price.

The accuracy is what surprised me. I am not usually a shooter for extreme accuracy, but I like to get good groups.

I got great groups. I am not sure how far out I set the targets, I believe they were at plinking distance
(if there is such thing)and used a pistol rest to steady the rifle. At that range, I was getting dime size groups of 10-15 rounds using open sights. I have the gun zeroed, which was my main reason for the range visit. I posted a longer review on FFF, but this is the result in a nutshell.

I am very pleased, and had a ball shooting this fun little plinker/small game rifle.

I've been thinking about one of these too, so I picked one up at Walmart today for $186 + tax. The action is, as you've said, very smooth, and the quality seems good. Moreover, it's made in Brooklyn, and I used to live there. I'll be trying out mine tomorrow.
