Help With West Virginia Reciprocity

I am asking for people to contact the people listed below and ask about WV reciprocity. Also ask about honoring Non Resident VA Permits. If they would do that then most people could get legal in WV by getting a VA Non Resident which you can do by mail. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Do talk nice as shouting does not help.

This is the woman who is in charge of the area of Reciprocity and all I ever get from Her is we are working on it.

So send the emails and call and write. The more the better.

I sent my email.

It was a nicely worded request. I hope it helps. Thank you for bringing this issue up, this situation needs to be changed.

Gary I have a question. I was reading in my book that West Virginia will recognize a Virginia permit. Does it make a difference weather it is a resident or non-resident? I am asking because I have been reading the same thing about PA and Florida. It turned out that PA will recognize both from Florida and I was wondering if it isn't the same for WV.

This is the WV State Police Web Site. It states this:

Q. I live outside of West Virginia and I have a concealed carry permit for a firearm in my home state. Does West Virginia honor my permit?

A. West Virginia currently honors concealed weapon permits issued by the State of Kentucky and by the State of Virginia to its residents. Currently, no other out-of-state concealed carry permits are honored. Our law was changed to permit reciprocal agreements with other states and our Governor's Office is beginning that process. Please consult with authorities in your state in order to determine if a reciprocal agreement has been made with West Virginia.

Virginia has recently begun issuing non-resident permits. West Virginia is in the process of determining whether Virginia non-resident permits will be honored and that information will be posted as soon as it becomes available.
