Ok,

I just had my M&P Shield cerakoated (orange and black) but i need to fix the shields shortfall the trigger pull. Its very heavy and it seems grainy. I purchased 2 different kits from two different venders and they wont even work for that gun and i cant return them.

Any info would help and i would appreciate it a bunch. I cant afford to keep buying kits that wont work..

Thank you all in advance

These guns are striker fired, so a trigger job is different. The first photo shows the sear at the back of the frame, and it's the silver plated rectangle. The rear would have to be smoothed with a stone, while keeping the correct angle. The plating could be causing the grainy feeling.

The second photo shows a parts breakdown, and the third, a striker assembly. The piece on the end, circled with red, would need to be smoothed also, with a stone.

There's not a huge amount you can do with these.

I tried one of the Apex kits on a M&P 9mm pro and it made an outstanding difference. Be sure to watch a video of it first for tips, but it's not too difficult. I wish S&W would fix some of the action problems on their M&P's and we wouldn't have to go through all this.
