I just bid on a S&W Model 19 on gunbroker. I currently have the high bid but it has 4 days left so who knows if I will win it. The pictures got me! It's SEEXY!! Here is my problem, I am in the desert and do not have access to my reference material. Can anyone provide me more info on this pistol. It looks like the SN is 44K8755. Here is the link:

If I lose it, then I lose it, but some more info on it may make me bid more!

Any help is appriciated.

Thanks
WM

S&W 19 with silver medallion COLT grips? I don't think so, they look like the
old english S&W medallions too me~!:D

Seller fixed the 'colt grip' thing

$500 kind of shocked me... but then if you wanted it.... It is a virgin, so they say. but I don't like 'white' grips myself. These pistols look a lot better with the factory wood grips.
Is one fine well made revolver though. I've got one and would not trade it for anything.

Can you say Impulse Bid! I really like the looks of it. I was just hoping someone could date it for me and maybe tell me if the grips are original. This wouldn't be the first impulsive purchase I have made and if you ask the wife it won't be the last.

It will also play nice with my M18 and M15. They are lonely!!!

44K off the top of my head is somewhere about '75-77 vintage......

That is a sweetie, unfired pinned S&W revolvers are getting rare. The price should include box and docs but don't let that stop you if you really want it.

You will never pay too much for a quality Smith, you can pay it a little early though.
