Help with rifle identification

I have an old bolt action .22 lr that looks military. It has the date 1966 on top of the receiver. Right next to that it has a bullseye with an arrow in it. I thought it might be crossman but haven't found anything to prove it. Also has serial # on the bolt and matching # on the stock. Looks like original military style leather sling. Anyone know any info or retail?

Unless someone can ID the stamp you described- it may be hard to pinpoint who made it or where it come from. Are there any small proofmark stamps anywhere? That could be another help.
