B Brian Pfleuger Moderator Emeritus Sep 21, 2009 #2 I don't know for sure but I'll throw out two guesses.... Metric or Torx? Actually, now that I think about more, I believe that my 870 had straight edge screws in the butt plate, 11-87 might be the same.

N nutty ned New member Sep 22, 2009 #3 Philips if you got something else, was it a used gun and after mkt screws. I checked two guns.
