Help with Redfield Scope

Guys,
I have been given an older Redfield Scope. The scope is a J00036 20 fixed power scope with a reat focus abd a front range or focus adjustment with little V marks for various ranges on the front which locks in place by the very front adjustment ring.
I think I focus the rear to a good sharp crosshair and then screw in the front focus ring to the bottom of the V associated with the range.
The ranges are 50 feet, 25yards, 50 yards, 100 yards, 200 yards, and infinity.
On the forward bell which turns are the same yardages. I think I turn the bell till reach the bottom of the respective V and then match it with the proper mark on the bell.
Does anyone know anything about older Redfield scopes like this, it is in flawless, perfect shape.
Thanks in advance.

Guys
I finally figured it out. It focuses great now.
I do not know how old this thing is, but it is in perfect condition.
It is a 20 power target scope actually and would make a great varmit rig but a poor hunting scope.

Harry, I think the "ring" on the objective lens is for adjusting Parralax. At least it is on an old Weaver 10X I have.

Thanks. I know the old Weavers but this Redfield is a different animale. This is a fixed power 20X target scope.
The front two rungs are focus, I found that out quick. THe front ring is a locking ring for the range adjustment and there are marks that you screw it to and then lock it.
Believe me, if you do not put it in the right place it will not focus but if you do it right it is clear, but only at the range you have it set at,
Thanks.
