Hi guys,

I live in Bolivia and there are no O rings specific made for the 1100 so I need the size, thickness and diameter info, to buy it from an ordinary O ring company. I just bought the shotgun and the o ring was missing.

I forgot to mention it is a 12gauge

Thanks in advance;)

Welcome Francachela,

I looked through my stock of O-rings, had the 20, 28, and .410 O-rings, but not one for the 12ga, I think my 11-87 has a slightly different size anyway. The size is allthe same on the ones I have with about 1/16", and whatever fits over your mag tube. Try to get hight temperature O-rings if possible. I'm sure someone will come up with the exact measurements before too long.

Many times you can find "O" rings that will work in a local hardware store too. The are not Remington's, but they work.

I got the following from shotgunworld.com

15/16" ID
1-1/16" OD
1/16" thick

o-rings for the 12 ga. 1100/11-87 shotguns
size 33

#021 is the viton size(same as factory made)
. #33 is the size for plain old neoprene rubber plumber's
o-rings. I get them at home depot, and they are the same size
as Ulysses suggests...15/16" by 1-1/16" by 1/16" thick. I know
the Viton o-rings are rated for higher temps, but I have had
total success with the plain rubber ones, with no
deterioration whatsoever. I bought 6 of the cheapies thinking
they would burn up quickly, but I am on my first one still
with 1,000 shells through it and it still looks new.

If anyone can remember who original wrote this please give
them credit for it!
