Help with Hawes .45 parts

Hello,
Can some please enlighten me as to what grips
will interchange with the Hawes Western Marshall
this is a large frame SA as I would like to get a set
of imitation pearl grips with out paying through the
nose Ajax said $135.00 to custom fit I only paid $125.00
for the gun.

You better get used to that if you ask about custom grips. No man is going to sell them to you cheap when he has to cut and fit the handles. They' re cheap replacement sets out there made of rubber or plastic, but not of anything of any looks such as imitation pearl or ivory or the like. If it takes a mans hand to make them, then expect him to get paid.

I am restoring the gun as the grips were burned off in a housefire a couple
years ago the gun has Rockwelled fine as the codura holster saved
the rest of the gun with no discoloration on the frame, barrel or cylinder and
very little on the backstrap and it had the imitation pearl grips on it when I bought it and I don't dispute paying for craftsmen custom fitting and they should get paid if that ends up as my only alternative, however I would like to know if there are any readily available grips that will fit.

I wouldn't think someone would have them sitting around for the Hawes, but there may be if you call enough folks. I would think the $125 would be reasonable for someone to cut and fit a set of the imitation pearl for your gun. Good luck with it and show us a pic if you get a set made.
 
It is very hard to make an intelligent post without the correct information. I did not know it was in a fire, I did not know the grips were burnt off. I did not know you were trying to restore it.

Over the years, both Arminus and EAA have both imported what appears to be essentially the same JP Sauer single-action; I cannot promise you that the grip frames are precisely the same on any of them. It might be a good place to start your research, though.

FWIW I have had three of the JP Sauers over the years (all by Hawes); two .44's and a .45 Colt. All were excellent shooters that handled better, IMO, than the new model Blackhawks.

for the help I am going to persue the EAA angle as someone who
lives in my area that was selling a Hawes .44 mag. on gunbroker
photocopied and also traced the grips off the .44 he was selling
all for the price of a small pepperoni pizza . :D He also told me that he
replaced the ejector rod with one from an EAA pistol.
