I just watched the movie "Training Day" and am wondering if anyone can give me some info on the pair of stainless pistols Denzel Washington uses in the movie. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Correct they where of a 3rd Generation S&W with slide mounted decoker. I would assume they where 45s also.

Thanks for the answers guys. Is it worth buying one? I found a few available used. I dont know much about S&W reliability or accuracy-I just have a thing for stainless handguns!!
Opinions will vary, of course, but I like Smith autos and have had nothing but great experiences with the ones I've owned. This thread may help:

Smith Wesson makes good wheel guns and their 3rd gen family of semi-autos are okay. I wouldn't buy a sigma. Everybody that I know that has one and shoot it on a regular basis hate them.

Here you go, dual stainless Smith & Wesson 4506's in .45acp, although one scene had him carrying what I swore were 4566's. There was alot of sweet hardware in this film. I wonder how much S&W paid to have their handguns in the "starring role" of if it was a prop guys choice. Either way, I think I am going to go rent one and see how it shoots.
