help with 1943 303

I have a 1943 .303 that has no serial number. On plate that holds but stock is 1943 and what appears to b a S and on berral is 303 2.222 and 18.5 tons with what looks to b a british simble. Any info on this would b awsos I have a numbr 5 all num match but the magazine

Look for a serial number on the left side of the reciever or the left side of the wrist. The "303 2.222 and 18.5 tons" are Brit proof marks stamped when the rifle was sold to civilian market. Photo's would help.
