HELP STOP CLINTON'S HANDGUN REGISTRATION BILL
Senate Bill S2099, the Handgun Safety & Registration Act of 2000, is now in committee. This act requires the fingerprinting and registration of every current handgun owner at a nearby police station or post office, a listing of guns owned by serial number and the updating of the list every time a gun is transferred. This is Bill Clinton's "landmark legislation" and he can't understand why the NRA is in such strong opposition to such "resonable gun control legislation." Here is a
list of Senators who are on the Committee. If any of these Senators are from your state, e-mail or write them with your opposition.
( To stop this legislation in its tracks, you can call your senator's office or better yet, send a snail mail to these members of the Senate Finance Committee. It is sitting in Finance because it also proposes a flat $50 tax on every handgun made.)
