I was brushing my Beretta and this piece fell off...where does it go?? :(

trigger bar spring. That short part fits into a hole in the frame but beneath the trigger bar.

Hook that little projection into the frame first, then compress the upper leg and slip it onto the trigger bar.

You know it's properly installed when you have a DA trigger.

Thats why I ordered several springs for my 92FS. In case I loose one!!!!!

I usually take my 92FS completely.......I mean completely apart atleast once a year.

It seems to be functioning. Can't really test fire it here at home but the trigger seems to be working. Please tell me I did this right?

Yes.

Excellant photography. Good job Skunk.

BTW, at Armorer's school they tell the armorers not to permit the cops to scrub the inside of the frame or remove the grip panels for fear of these springs popping out.

I make it a point not to lose them, but having a spare is probably not a bad idea. :) I've detail stripped my Beretta once when I got it (used), but it's only fired a few hundred rounds since then, so it doesn't need it again just yet...

Fiats & Beretta parts falling off...

Was that an Italian joke? BTW, the same thing can happen to many modern guns including the Ruger P series, Sigs, S&W pistols, etc. Be careful in removing the grips and watch for springs that are held in place by them. Also don't go poking a toothbrush down into the magazine well to "scrub" the interior. You may just dislodge a spring. Then George and I get to make "big bucks" in giving advice in putting it back together. ;)
