Help on new AR project

I have a post-ban Bushmaster lower receiver which I am thinking about building up. I already have a pre-ban 16" Bushmaster. I was wondering if some of you out there can give me ideas as to how I should build this next one.

SGT, READ his post. He already has a 16" PRE-BAN RIFLE, and is looking for advice on building up a post-ban.


SF, I'd go with a bull-barrel flat-top precision gun. The standard 20" is not different enough for a second rec. Get a good scope and some good 75gr loads and shoot WAY out there. You'll also want a better trigger and a nice stock. Have fun.....

I agree with Charmedlyfe, I would consider building a precision rifle since you already have a great carbine. Even If you don't want to go all the way up to the 75 grain pills you can do some pretty serious shooting with the 69's and even some of the surplus ss109 works well. If you don't already have an honest 600 yard rifle in your inventory this would be a good way to get there. Have fun.

If you plan on using the 69 and above weights, get a 1:8" twist, as some 1:9's wont stabilize the heavies.
