I Am A British Shooter With A Problem That Someone May Be Able To Help With. My Winchester 94 A/e trails end 357mag Has Started Emtying The Mag Tube When Workin The Action, putting Another Round Under The Cartridge Lifter. On Stripping It Down I Find That The Little Pip On The Lever Link Has A Piece Chipped Off It And I Guess Thats The Trouble.its Possible My Local Engineering Firm Could Put A Smidgeon Of Braze On It But I Have No Idea Of How Far It Should Protrude Or The Shape.any Ideas Please. Also Noticed When Sripping It That There Is No Firing Pin Return Spring In The Bolt Hole, Should There Be One?.any Help Or Advice Will Be Greatly Appreciated, Paul.

The Winchester 94 does not have a firing pin return spring. When you retract the lever, the tip of the lever retracts the firing pin.

You are very possibly correct that the cartridges are not catching on the cartridge stop. You can have the little "pip" welded back up and then fit it. It has to engage the rim of the carridge and keep it in the magazine tube when retracting the bolt. I am not sure, but Winchester links may be hard to get anymore.

Of course, if you are trying to fire 38 Special cartridges, there may not be anything wrong with the gun itself.
