Got an Interarms Mark X in 223 "as is" in a trade. Has no bolt :(
Hoping to find someone that has one they can get rid of or can fabricate one. Emailed some parts dealers and none of them have one. Please email me if you know of something. Thanks.

That sounds like a pretty poor trade to me.

I hope you ran the serial numbers to insure it's not been reported stolen

I suspect you'll need to send it to the factory for a replacement to be fitted

no bolt does not mean its hot, a lot of bolts are taken out for safety with small children around and lost in a move or misplaced and not found. i know of a bolt lost while hunting when walking out of the woods with the bolt open(a sako). if you need piece of mind have the serial # ran by the police. i have bought rifle bolts at flea markets and yard sales over the years, i have a rem 722 bolt right now with the small bolt head(.222rem-.222rem mag.). eastbank.

The Zastava factory might oblige, but its gonna be a chore gettin it there and grtting it back, call them see if they wont send you a bolt, then maybe your gunsmith can make her work out....As far as it being hot, hell who knows, run it through just in case though...

Legacy Sports is the current distributor for Zastava. You could call them to see if they can help you out. The small action is still in production, so parts should be available for it.

headspace?

Even if a bolt can be obtained, won't it be very possible that the headspace need adjusted by tweaking the barrel?

Kinda thought bolts and barrels likely need fitted individually

At a minimum it needs to be checked, and unless one is really lucky, it's going to require some fitting

if you get a bolt, by all means have the head space checked. but you may be surprized that it will be ok, i have had ww-2 bolt less 98 mausers that i found bolts for from the same maker and most head spaced ok. eastbank.

agreed

Yeah I thought so. But .223 headspace gauges in all variety are common enough in these days of the home grown AR that a check should be easily enough done.

Getting it set could be another matter.
