Help, my Witness's rear sight won't move!

Hi all,
I have a eaa witness 10mm with the standard rear sight that I want to adjust for windage; but it won't move when I "tap" it. Any tips or tricks would be appreciated.

Your problem is a really tight sight fit. This requires bracing the slide on a SOLID surface. Trying to hand-hold the gun with the slide on allows the sight to "bounce" instead of shift in the dovetail.

Take the slide off. Lay flat on a solid bench padded with a few sheets of newspaper. Use a good brass or nylon punch and a small hammer. This will usually allow it to be moved.

Another option: Get an automatic center punch. Cut the sharp tip off, and braze a brass tip on. Somebody was selling these around a year or so ago.
