Help me spend my bonus....

I got a small $300.00 bonus last week and need to spend it fast before I talk myself into putting it into savings. I bought the wife a new electronic gadget for approximately $110.00 so give me some ideas for the remaining $190 - what do you think are some of the "best bang for the buck" for the $190. One caveat - I do not need another .22 pistol so leave those out. Start me thinking, please!

RCBS reloading kit. I think there is a rebate available that puts them into the sub-$200 range on the partner press. Reloader special kits will be about $50 more or so. (better press) The redding boss will run about that price, too. (even better press)

Of course, the lee fans will be all over this post. I'm not going to argue it, that is my recommendation as to what to do with your cash.

HMMM.....

Yeah - it does not have to be a firearm per se - just looking for something "outside the box" - and I don't reload....yet.

Oh, I thought you wanted a gun because you posted it in the handgun forum.

You can never go wrong with more ammo or reloading equpiment.

Put it into savings and forget about it.

However if you absolutely can't do this, I'd recommend ammo or reloading equipment. A Lee handloader with enough accessories to get you going on 1 caliber isn't going to run over $200. Its slow but it'll save you a lot of money in a hurry. It won't take long til you've saved enough to buy another gun! Especially if you reload something expensive.

If you really want me to help you spend it, I'd be glad to help. I'll PM you my address and you can mail the cash to me. ;)

Here are some ideas for you to spend your money on ammo, reloading gear, a mosin nagant, or you could buy some upgrades for a gun you already own like a scope, new stock bipod, and so on.

You can get a pretty nice scope for that, assuming you have something to mount it on...;)

There are good deals out there, I just scored a nice cz52 with og holster and 3 mags for $140 at the gunshop. They have tokarevs for around 180 or so, don't know why they're more than my cz was. also, you could buy a nice mosin nagant. Not a handgun, but within your budget and not a waste of money. I got a M39 for $150 a while back at the same shop. A clean used 12ga pump can be had well within your budget. I have a few firearms that were less than $200 and they're good guns nonetheless.

Put it away in a dedicated fund for your next gun. When you have $400-700, you can go buy a nice gun. Just make sure the politicians don't raid your dedicated fund and spend the money on their pet projects, or you'll have to raise the money all over again :)

Put it in savings....There is a recession going on and having a little nest egg
would come in handy if things don't go well for you for some UN foreseen
reason....
