I'm looking for a true pocket gun for summer carry. I have a Smith 642 and it's just a little big for the pocket. I've listed the three guns I'm currently looking at. Thanks for the help.

I personally would go with the LCP. Rugers are solid guns, and the .380 is a viable round for self-defense.

Good Luck!

You're limiting your options!

Out of the 3, the Ruger is the only sound choice.
you should dig down and do a bit more research on your option. there are numreous other excellent pistol sthat can suit your needs.
But since you only gave us just these 3 to choose from, I'll stick to your choices and recommend just the Ruger

what feels best in your hand is the one you go with. sig, sub-compact glock, walther in 9mm, night guard smith's, but the only two rules i follow for carry is 1st how it feels in my hands. 2nd caliber choice, ie ballistics

I would take a Taurus TCP over a Ruger LCP and I have fired both. LCP was not comfortable to shoot at all but my TCP is and has been 100% reliable. Diamondback DB380 should be considered as well but I have no personal experience.

I've got an LCP. It's extremely easy to carry, and conceal.

For me, it's not comfortable at the range. The small grip is tough to hold on to and it "tweaks" your trigger finger. After 10 rounds I have had enough.

For any protection you should practice. I don't want to practice with it, so that's a problem.

Pocket gun? No other choice than a Ruger LCP. Light, easy to conceal, well made, dependable and more powerful than some smaller options.

For true summer pocket carry i'd get a hard chromed Kel-tec .32 with the factory clip attached.

Of those choices I picked NAA .32. Here is why.

The mini can't be quickly reloaded, and it's a rimfire .22, not to mention awkward to hold, must cock hammer to fire etc.

The .32 NAA is significantly smaller than the Ruger although i'm sure it's heavier.

The .32 NAA has a life time warranty, and is a quality all metal gun that will out last any polymer gun.

It really depends on your summer attire, thin shorts with a draw sting then Kel-tec, cargo shorts with a real belt and i'd want the NAA.

Buy two Kel-Tec 32 and two pocket holsters

When you leave the house carry one.

When you return, rinse the pistol and holster at the sink and set them aside to dry (if necessary hook up a timer to a heat source to prevent rusting).

If you go out again, and the first set isn't dry -- use the second.
Of course I'm assuming stinking hot and fairly humid.

If you live some place where a warm summary day means wearing a short sleeve shirt under your jacket, ignore the suggestion.
