Help me pick a single-shot trap gun

I have my mind on one gun, but I won't mention it to avoid "poisoning" the opinion pool. I'm just shooting casual trap with my dad for fun, nothing serious. Would like a nice-looking gun with wood stocks and blued steel, but, am open to other ideas.

Bueller? Bueller? ;-)

Browning BT99.

I myself have an old M12 pump trap gun. If you ever get into trap doubles you'll have to buy another gun.

Trap guns get shot lots. Pick one that would hold up. The BT 99 comes to mind first. These are durable and reliable, and not that expensive. There's usually a used one or two for sale at any range.

A SBT is good only for trap singles. I shoot an 870TB which has lustrous finish and great lumber. It's good for other things, though one set up for trap is a bit heavy for the uplands.

HTH....

I've owned a BT99 for 3 years now. Excellent Gun! and with the ported barrel I can shoot for hours. If someone owns one at your range see if you can try it out. :D

The Browning BT-99 is fine, especially with back boring and a nice high rib, and the longer barrel will give you a little extra edge downrange.
