Help Me Narrow Down my Choices

I am looking to trade in my SW Model 60 Pro for a full sized .357 and am having some trouble narrowing down my choices. This will be a range and secondarily a HD gun not a carry gun. I could conceivably use it in practical IDPA competitions. I don't care about the lock on the S&W but am somewhat concerned about quality control issues based my reading on this and other forums. Criteria are: 1) reliability out of the box (which I never thought is a big concern with a revolver, but am learning that is can be); 2) accuracy/trigger, 3) comfort in shooting (my hands are on the small to medium side), 4) looks. I'm not interested in a used gun and am not a tinkerer and don't plan on doing any work on the gun myself.

My candidates thus far:

1) S&W 686+
2) S&W SSR
3) S&W 586 (the one that was just re-introduced)
4) S&W TRR8 (I've read about light strike and barrel problems with these)
5) S&W 627 performance center model
5) Ruger GP 100 (might consider the Wiley Clapp edition even though it has a 3" barrel).

What would you go for (factoring in price/value as a consideration)? Are PC guns worth the extra $$? How about S&W tuning and custom services? Thanks.

If you think you might shoot IDPA you'll want a six shot otherwise it's a PITA.
I love my SSR it has a great trigger and it's an amazing shooter. wouldn't warn you off a Ruger GP either.

Mukibeser:

By all means purchase the Smith & Wesson 627 performance center revolver. It is ready for competation right out of the box.

I would go with the 627 performance center model as well ...and yes, its worth the extra money, in my opinion. I really like the 5" in the V comp ...if that works for you....

but then, the older model 27's ( in 4" and 6" are some of my favorite guns in my safe ).../ there is just something special about an N frame in .357 mag...
