Help me identifying a Colt revolver?

Back in the early 80's I had a very lightweight Colt revolver.

5 shot - .38 special

I've searched extensively and can't find it or its name. Seems to me it was an alloy Detective Special?

Colt has not made a five shot revolver in over a hundred years that I recall.
A lightweight .38 Special Colt would be either a Cobra or an Agent. Six shot. Same size as Detective Special, but with aluminum frame. The early Cobra had full length grip straps, the Agents had shortened butts. Later all D frame Colts went to the short butt and the Cobra and Dick Special just had grips that wrapped under the butt to keep the standard length.

It's kinda silly ...

... that I can't remember. (old age?)
I do remember distinctly that it was a 5 shot. And feather light.

None of the S&W model names or numbers sound right, but it musta been a S&W, because that's all I've had besides Colt. (A TC Contender in 7mmTCU and a High Standard .22 being exceptions)

A 6" 686

A 6" Model 29

A 6" Python

A Colt Commander

Tons of 1911's

Getting senile ... TBC

Could've been this, or something like it ...

S&W 340

Sounds like some sort of S&W airweight. Whether Centennial, Chiefs Special, or Bodyguard. Charter Arms???

If it was an older gun, it could have been a S&W Terrier, quite popular with plainclothes police prior to the J frame Chiefs Special.
